Live from Atlanta: It's Workforce Strategy 2018

This week, over 500 practitioners, influencers and thought leaders are convening in Atlanta, GA to fuel a well-being transformation.

The morning started strong with hands-on workshops and employer-only benchmarking sessions. Workforce Strategy attendees chose from concurrent sessions led by global experts like Advancing Your Well-being Game Plan with Design Thinking, Ending the Mental Health Stigma for a Global Workforce, and Digital Solutions for Managing Chronic Conditions.

Then the crowd came together to hear the first keynote presentation, The Future of Work, Health & Life. No one was better-suited to be this year’s opening headliner than futurist and Partner at Ipsos Strategy3, Don Abraham. Don forecasted how technological advances, demographic shifts and empowered employees (and consumers) will reshape the workscape.

“The time-and-space structure of the workday will undergo a transformation as work-life balance becomes work-life blend.” - Don Abraham

In the afternoon, conference participants continued to prepare for the next generation of well-being through employer-led breakout panels and mind stretch presentations that sparked new ideas.

"Movement is a window into future health." - Mike Eisenhart

And perhaps the most poignant moment of the day is still to come. This evening, we unveil and celebrate the achievements of the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles® winners. The winners are an elite group of organizations with exceptional commitment to improving the overall quality of life for their employees.

Congratulations BEHL winners, and thank you for your dedication to employees, their families and our communities!

A list of all BEHL winners will be available to view here later this week.

The Workforce Strategy 2018 Conference runs through Thursday, September 27th. Return to the NBGH blog throughout the week for more updates from Atlanta.
